Hooded Merganser
March 9th to 15th 2010
We have been seeing the Hooded Mergansers along the slough near the heronry at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, B.C., Canada most every day on our walks lately. One afternoon, while we were leaving the heronry, Bruce heard them down in the slough and to our delight, they were performing their courting dance.
