Sardis Park
April 26th to 30th 2010
We always enjoy our walks at Sardis Park. It has been unseasonably cold lately and rather dull and rainy as well.
We found American Coots still swimming around the pond.
A Cackling Goose surprised us with a small flock of Canada Geese.
The Killdeer was still calling and running around the entrance to the park.

The Toulouse Goose has settled into its new surroundings nicely.
There are always Turtles on logs on the pond.
Northern Shovelers paddled around in small groups.
A female Mallard guarded her young duckling.
A few Yellow-rumped Warblers gathered insects at the tops of the trees.
Several Canada Geese have Goslings of varying ages. There were a few young enough to cuddle under the wings of the adult to keep warm.
