Manning Park

We enjoyed another drive up to Manning Park on the 24th of June.
Chipping Sparrows surprised us on a tree when we were watching a deer.
A Fritillary Butterfly stopped in front of us on a path.
A Goldeneye Duck had her ducklings resting on a log before more people came along and she headed out into the marsh.
Mallard Ducklings hidden in a few plants were missed by several groups of people that passed.
Two Red-breasted Sapsuckers were gathering insects for their young.
A Pine Siskin stopped on a log.
A Song Sparrow paused on a snag before gathering more insects for its young.
A Northern Rough-winged Swallow paused on another snag.
Western Tanagers went about their daily activities.
A Yellow-warbler collected Willow fluff for her nest, while her mate watched.
Yellow-rumped Warblers were very active.
Common Yellowthroat Warblers drew attention with their songs.
A male Townsend’s Warbler caught our attention as he warbled and posed on branches near us.
