Cedar Waxwing
July 16th to 31st 2010
Cedar Waxwings are boisterously everywhere at this time of year and we enjoy taking their photos so very much. Here is a small selection of some of the hundreds of photos we took over the past few days. We gained some more respect for these incredible birds when we watched a male defend its nest site from several female Cowbirds that were trying to gain access to lay eggs. The Waxwing was ever vigilant and kept the Cowbirds at bay.
