We enjoyed our usual daily walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack.
Buffleheads were seen.
Black-capped Chickadees were seen with wood chip evidence of nest building on their beaks.
Common Mergansers were pair bonding.
Red-winged Blackbirds were seen as usual at this time of year.
A resident Bald Eagle looked over the area.
Canada Geese were checking out snags.
Great Blue Herons were busy with their nesting activities.
A male Hooded Merganser caught a fish.
We saw two American Kestrels.
A Lincoln’s Sparrow was seen on our walk near the Salwein Creek.
Salmonberries were blooming.
Tree Swallows were seen.
Wood Ducks were in a few locations.

We enjoyed seeing Werner, Charlie with Jack, Christine with Trouper, Helmut as well as Dick on the trails.
