Ducks and Great Blue Herons

Ducks and Great Blue Herons were seen in many areas but the slough near the Heronry has an attraction because of the food and nesting materials.

The Great Blue Herons near the Heronry are very busy gathering nesting material and foraging for food.

A female Bufflehead was diving for food nearby.

A male Green-winged Teal was also foraging next to the shoreline.

A male Hooded Merganser floated past.

Ring-necked Ducks were swimming and resting on logs.

Wood Ducks were seen in many areas including the Heronry and both lagoons.
