Great Blue Herons Part 1

We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

We arrived at the Heronry just in time to watch a few dozen young Great Blue Herons fledgling from the colony for the first time. They find a strange new world full of interesting things. They love to squabble with each other and test their fishing skills with sticks. We always enjoy the first flights to a new life. They will be allowed back in the nests for a few days until hopefully, their fishing is perfected.

Weather

We enjoyed talking to Werner, Loraine, Shaundel on Powell, the Icelandic Horse, Bronwyn with Blondie on the trails and Valerie, Barb, Dick, Camille, Amanda and Matt Rotary Interpretive Centre Gift Shop.
