May 8th & 9th 2022

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

A female Common Merganser was stretching on a log.

An American Coot and Common Goldeneye were seen nearby.

A Canada Goose was in the slough.

Several Great Blue Herons were wandering along the edges of the water.

A Hooded Merganser flew into the slough.

Killdeers were in the farm field.

Mallards were seen as usual.

Purple Finches were seen along the way.

A few Cottontail Rabbits are usually seen.

A few American Robins were seen.

Northern Rough-winged Swallows were seen.

Wood Ducks are usually seen.

A few Common Yellowthroats were seen.

A Pileated Woodpecker worked on a stump.

We practiced social distancing from Charlie with Jack, Terry with Bogey, Ron with Ginni, Werner, Beverly with Mogli and Sampson, Don, Liz and Gordon with Boomer during our walks.
