October 12th to 15th 2022

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

One of the resident Bald Eagles was seen resting.

Golden-crowned Sparrows were seen at the Rotary Interpretive Centre feeders.

A male Anna’s Hummingbird was also seen at the Rotary Interpretive Centre feeders.

Steller’s Jays were seen.

Dark-eyed Juncos were seen in a few spots.

A Ruby-crowned Kinglet, hopped and bobbed around a Red-Osier Dogwood.

A Lesser Scaup and a female Mallard paddled with Canada Geese.

A female American Wigeon was seen from the East Bird Blind.

Wood Ducks were seen in many locations.

It was nice to see Terry with Bogey, Lynne, Jody with Sellie and Jasper, Janet and Hazel doing a bird count for the Great Blue Heron Nature Society, Neal, Cathy with Tula and Rusty during our walks.
