We had our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

Double-crested Cormorants were seen as usual.

A Brown Creeper was seen in the Salwein Creek forest.

Black-capped Chickadees followed us along the trails.

A Northern Flicker was seen perched on a mossy branch.

Golden-crowned Sparrows were seen.

A large flock of American Goldfinch were enjoying Birch seeds.

A female Hairy Woodpecker and her mate were seen in the Salwein Creek forest.

Great Blue Herons were seen.

A male Hooded Merganser motored along on the water.

Steller’s Jays called to each other in the Salwein Creek forest.

Dark-eyed Juncos were seen in the same area.

American Robins were seen.

Song Sparrows were seen in many areas.

Gadwalls paddled along on the water.

Wood ducks were seen in the Salwein Creek.

A very handsome White-crowned Sparrow stopped for a photo.

We enjoyed seeing Alyson and Randy with Chesney, Karl and Marilyn as well as John Larsen on the trails.
