We had a nice walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

A Fox Sparrow was seen near the Rotary Interpretive Centre.

Common Mergansers were seen near the Heronry.

Gadwalls were seen as well near the Heronry.

The Canada Goose is still sitting on her nest.

Green-winged Teal were seen near the Heronry.

Great Blue Herons were gathering sticks for their nests.

We often see a female Mallard which seems to enjoy being up on higher perches.

American Robins were mudding their nests.

A Wilson’s Snipe was seen at the far end of the road past the Heronry.

Song Sparrows were seen along the way.

European Starlings are usually seen.

A few Violet-green Swallows and Northern Rough-winged Swallows were seen.

Wood Ducks were present as usual.

Several male Common Yellowthroats were seen along the trails.

We enjoyed seeing Randy with Chesney, John and Ben as well as the Langley Field Naturalists on the trails.
